Helping Manage Overwhelm, Worry, and Constant “What-Ifs”
At Dragonfly, our therapists offer a real, down-to-earth space where clients can feel safe — no judgment, no pressure. We focus on building a relationship based on trust and meeting individuals where they are at, so they feel truly heard and supported from the very first session.
Maybe she’s struggling with school pressure, friendships, or social media stress.
She might seem anxious, avoidant, or tightly wound—unable to relax even when nothing’s “wrong.”
You’ve tried to reassure her, but nothing seems to help. And when you ask how she’s feeling, she says, “I don’t know.”
Teen anxiety is common, especially for girls. It can show up as perfectionism, panic, stomach issues, overthinking, or fear of being judged. It can also make everyday life—like attending school, speaking up in class, or dealing with change—feel impossible.

Adolescence is already a rollercoaster—and anxiety makes it even harder. Between hormones, academic stress, and peer pressure, it’s no wonder so many girls feel stuck in a cycle of worry and self-doubt.
At Dragonfly, we help teen girls understand their anxiety and learn healthy ways to manage it.
Therapy provides the tools to understand where anxiety comes from, learn how to calm the body,
and shift the patterns that keep fueling the stress.
Our therapists build strong, trusting relationships by creating a space that feels safe, relatable, and
empowering. Sessions may include talk therapy, creative tools (like journalling or art), and coping
strategies she can actually use in real life.
We support her in building confidence, calming her nervous system, and believing in her ability
to handle what life throws at her.
She can learn how to handle anxiety - instead of being ruled by it.
With the right support, your teen can feel more grounded, capable, and connected to herself again.
Let’s start with a free 20-minute phone consult.
No pressure, no commitment—just a chance to talk, ask questions, and see if we’re the right fit.

It's normal for teens to feel anxious sometimes—but if anxiety is affecting your daughter’s sleep, school, friendships, or overall well-being, it may be time to get extra support. If she seems withdrawn, irritable, overwhelmed, or avoids things she used to enjoy, therapy can help her learn healthy ways to cope and feel more like herself.
Parents will definitely be involved to some extent. However, the content of the sessions will remain confidential to help build your teens trust. Teens need a sense of privacy in therapy to open up, but we keep parents informed of any safety concerns and any strategies that could help at home. We also welcome parent sessions if needed.
That’s very common. Teens might feel nervous, unsure, or think they don’t need help. We take a gentle, non-pushy approach to building trust. Often, once a teen attends the first session and realizes it’s a safe, judgment-free space, they’re more open to continuing. We suggest letting them look over the website to start to create an openness to the experience.
Start with curiosity and care, not pressure. Let her know you’ve noticed she seems stressed or overwhelmed and that you’re here to support her—not fix her. You can say something like, “I know things have felt heavy lately, and I thought talking to someone might help. Would you be open to trying one session and seeing what you think?”
