You’re More Than Your Performance—But It Doesn’t Always Feel That Way
At Dragonfly, our therapists offer a real, down-to-earth space where you can be yourself — no judgment, no pressure. We focus on building a relationship based on trust and meeting you where you’re at, so you feel truly heard and supported from the very first session.
Are you juggling training, work, relationships, and everything in between—wondering where you fit in?
Do you struggle with burnout, perfectionism, or negative self-talk, even though you're highly capable?
Have injury, body image concerns, or life transitions (like pregnancy or career change) impacted your confidence in sport?
As a woman athlete—whether you're competitive, recreational, or somewhere in between—you likely hold yourself to high standards. You might feel like you're supposed to be mentally strong all the time. But under the surface, you may be dealing with anxiety, stress, identity conflict, or the emotional impact of sport-related setbacks.
You're not alone if you’ve ever thought: Why can’t I just push through this like I do in training?
Sometimes, what you need isn’t more discipline—it’s support.

It’s incredibly common for high-performing athletes to experience stress, anxiety, and identity confusion—especially when your self-worth has been closely tied to achievement or your role on a team.
Women in competitive sports often face unique challenges, like navigating gender dynamics in sport culture, living under constant scrutiny (from coaches, teammates, or even social media), and feeling like they have to prove themselves twice as hard.
While your training may focus on strength, speed, and results, your emotional and mental wellbeing matter just as much. And just like physical conditioning, mental and emotional wellness take intentional effort.
Therapy offers a space where you can take off the jersey (or ballet shoes), be real, and take care of the part of you that isn’t measured by stats.
At Dragonfly, we help women athletes reconnect with their inner strength. Whether you’re navigating sport-related stress, life transitions, identity struggles, or burnout, therapy offers a space to pause, reflect, and realign.
We use evidence-based approaches like CBT, mindfulness, and narrative therapy, along
with sports psychology tools to help you:
Reduce anxiety and self-doubt
Navigate transitions (e.g. injury recovery, postpartum return to sport, career changes)
Reconnect with your sense of purpose and identity
Set sustainable goals
Build resilience beyond the arena of sport
Our therapists understand the mental load that comes with being a high-achieving
woman. We work collaboratively with you to help you make space for emotional
well-being—so that your performance, and your life, feel more aligned and fulfilling.
Whether you're training for your next race or redefining what athleticism means in this
chapter of your life, therapy can help you move forward with strength and clarity.
Ready to take care of the part of you no one sees?
We understand how driven, high-achieving women can struggle silently, and we’re passionate about helping women in competitive sports find a more sustainable, fulfilling way to move through life.
